I’m preparing for a presentation I’m giving soon and wanted to post the “My View” guest editorial that the Deseret News told me they would publish, but never did. So here it is. –CBE
Public School Programs Grow Green Propaganda
Americans shouldn’t be surprised that liberals are forcing a “green” socialist agenda on us. After all, over the past century we have all been raised on a diet of public school progressive propaganda. We even pay for this propaganda and elect “conservative” representatives that reauthorize federal socialist programs. We ourselves say we’re conservative, and then faithfully send our children off to these public schools to become the next generation of liberals. Just one example of these progressive programs – the Mercedes of them all - is the International Baccalaureate (IB).
2008 began with a Presidential primary campaign well underway. Could a Mormon become a President? Could an Evangelical vote for a Mormon? Could a woman or black man be elected? What was the meaning of “change?” What was the meaning of marriage?
The summer waned. Fall approached. A woman Vice President revitalized the lackluster moderate GOP selection, but not enough. The masses, as our Founders predicted, preferred to elect someone who promised the moon. And we got a socialist. We’re so proud he’s black - who cares what he believes! (Where was Walter Williams when we needed him?)
Welcome to my blogsite. I’m currently completing a draft manuscript for a book on pornography and its negative influence on marriage and family. I hope to have it ready for professional review in the next two weeks. I’m also preparing a presentation on education for a global economy, the history of the International Baccalaureate, the influence of the United Nations/UNESCO on U.S. education and curricula. I will be posting regularly on this blogsite. I welcome research and comments on these topics.
